2022–2024 Sustainability Plan Update

In 2020, the University of Chicago established a more ambitious goal to reduce its absolute greenhouse emissions by 50% by 2030. Energy consumption in campus buildings has the largest impact on University greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to more than 70% of the University’s annual greenhouse gas emissions.
