New Exhibit Features ‘Green’ Home

May 6, 2009

Interested in eco-friendly living? Then take a tour through the Museum of Science and Industry’s new exhibit, Smart Home: Green + Wired.

The exhibit, which re-opened on March 19, 2009, features a 2,500-square-foot “green” home built in a park on the east side of the museum. Visitors to the home will discover the latest innovations in reusable resources; smart energy consumption; sustainable gardens and green roofs; and clean, healthy-living environments in a contemporary setting.

The home was conceived by Michelle Kaufmann Designs and built by All American Homes. The exhibit runs through January 3, 2010.
