Sustainability

Communicating about Environmental Concerns

June 2008

Kelin Hall has been active in sustainability efforts at the University of Chicago ever since she arrived on campus as a student three years ago.

As a longtime member of the student-run Green Campus Initiative, for example, Hall organized events, raised funds, and more. Today, as the Social Justice Group representative to the University’s Sustainability Council, she’s responsible for coordinating the council’s efforts with student environmental and social justice groups on campus. She also works on effective strategies for communicating about sustainability to the University as a whole.

A fourth-year student in the College, Hall often can be seen at campus events, Tupperware and thermos in hand.
