This summer we bid a fond farewell to staff members, Colleen Lanier Christenson AB '09 and Katie Anson. We're delighted to introduce two new employees to our team - Sony Rane joined us from the University of Pittsburgh as a program coordinator and Christy Perera AB '12, previously a sustainability intern, joined as an assistant program coordinator. Ignacio Tagtachian SB'11 also transitioned from a sustainability fellow to a program coordinator and Zach Felsenstein continues his internship journey from summer into fall. Please give a warm welcome to the new team.
The Office of Sustainability has been hard at work this summer taking care of a laundry list of things to do. Implementing the new Sustainability Strategic Plan, tracking over 100 metrics, working with University partners on environmental goals, and expanding the number of our recycles stations are just a few examples. We have also been developing new green certification programs (look for more news on that soon!) and responding to all of your great ideas and feedback.
Visit our website to learn more about the Office of Sustainability and everyone on our team. You'll be seeing us around campus—counting recycling bins, taking photos of native plants, and sporting the latest recycles swag. Feel free to say hi! We look forward to hearing your ideas, answering questions, and creating a more sustainable campus with your help.
