Bike2Campus Week: Ride, Record, Reward

June 2014

Thanks again to all those who participated in Bike2Campus week! Hope everyone had a great time at the events and learned a bit more about Bike Safety. The winning campus is The School of the Art Institute of Chicago! A big congrats to SAIC for having the most amount of trips by bike during the week weighted against their overall full time student population! Pedal on bikers!

Bike2Campus is a good-natured competition between 10 Chicago-area colleges to gauge who has the most-bike-crazy campus. The competition called for participants to log their trips on the Bike2Campus site during the week of April 21-25 and use the hashtag #Bike2CampusChicago whenever posting photographic or other evidence of their biking ways (wear your helmets!) A participant from each campus had the opportunity to win a year Divvy membership and the winning participant, regardless of school, won the grand prize of a 4-year Divvy membership.

Competing in this year’s Bike2Campus were: City Colleges of Chicago, Columbia College Chicago, University of Chicago, University of Illinois-Chicago, Loyola Roosevelt University, Dominican University, Northwestern University, the Illinois Institute of Technology and the School of the Art Institute Chicago.
